Penzance before & after Scilly

Penzance is the departure town for the Scillonian ferry and Penzance Helicopters. Skybus uses Land’s End Airport near St Just, with onward connections from Penzance. Always confirm your departure point and check-in time with your operator.
Stay before or after your crossing
An overnight stay can give you more room around a long journey. Ask about minimum stays, late arrivals, breakfast timing, stairs and dog policies before booking. Parking during your stay does not automatically include the days you spend on Scilly.
Park for the right journey
Tell the provider whether you are using the ferry, helicopter or Skybus, including a different route on return. Confirm who the transfer carries, luggage and dog arrangements, early departures and vehicle limits. There is no parking on South Pier.
Connect station, quay and airport
The ferry quay, Penzance Heliport and Land’s End Airport are different places. Give the operator your actual destination and check-in deadline. Pre-book suitable vehicles and discuss luggage, child seats, dogs and access needs.
Eat before departure or after returning
Check opening and kitchen times against your travel plans. Ask about takeaway orders, dietary needs and whether bags or dogs can come inside. Leave enough time for the operator’s check-in requirements.
Leave bags and explore
Confirm that storage is available to non-guests, that your bags can be accepted and that collection fits your return time. Ask about advance booking, charges and what happens if travel is delayed.
Make time for Penzance
With enough time before or after your island stay, enjoy the town, seafront, galleries or a booked activity. Check opening, access and reservation requirements directly. These are mainland experiences.
If your journey changes
Check the operator’s current advice first. Ask your accommodation, parking or transfer provider about its own change and cancellation terms. A mainland room or transfer is not automatically included when a sailing or flight changes.
