Accommodation on the Isles of Scilly is limited and books up early — especially in peak summer. Whatever your budget or style, choose and book well in advance.
Book accommodation before booking travel. Many properties on the off-islands fill up months ahead of peak season. Confirm your stay before arranging your ferry or flight.
Hotels
A small number of hotels on the islands offer sea views, on-site restaurants and full-service hospitality. Expect a more intimate scale than mainland hotels.
Guest Houses
Family-run guest houses provide warm welcomes, local knowledge and often the best cooked breakfast on the islands. A favourite for first-time visitors.
B&Bs
Popular and affordable, many with just a few rooms. A genuine island feel with attentive, personal hosting throughout your stay.
Self Catering
Cottages and apartments spread across several islands. Ideal for families or longer stays, with easy access to local shops and fresh produce.
Campsites
Camping on the Isles of Scilly is an experience unlike anywhere else in the UK — peaceful, unhurried and close to the coast.
Luxury Stays
The islands offer a small number of genuinely luxurious options, with spa facilities, fine dining and beautifully appointed rooms in exceptional settings.

Staying on the mainland too?
Many visitors add a night or two in West Cornwall either side of their island stay — Penzance for the ferry and helicopter, or near St Just for Skybus from Land's End. Our West Cornwall extension guide pairs mainland experiences and stays with your Scilly trip.
